Burnout Paradise Remastered topped the UK sales chart last week

Following on from a swift announcement last month, Burnout Paradise Remastered has officially hit consoles, with a PC launch set for a little later this year. So far, the console launch has been a big success, putting the Burnout series at the top of UK sales charts for the first time in 13 years.

Burnout's last number one chart placement belongs to Burnout Revenge, which launched in 2005. To this date, Burnout 3: Takedown still has the best first week sales of any game in the series. Still, Burnout Paradise Remastered is doing very well for itself, overtaking other giant franchises over the weekend.

Last week was fairly quiet for new game releases, with the exception of Nintendo's Kirby Star Allies for the Nintendo Switch, which landed on the number two spot last week.

Here is the full top ten:

  • Burnout Paradise Remastered.
  • Kirby Star Allies.
  • FIFA 18.
  • Grand Theft Auto 5.
  • Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.
  • Super Mario Odyssey.
  • PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.
  • EA Sports UFC 3.
  • Fallout 4.
  • Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

While Burnout may have been number one, Nintendo certainly had a good week. Super Mario Odyssey, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Kirby all charted well. It is worth noting that Chart-Track only counts physical copy sales though, with digital sales thrown into the mix, the chart could end up looking a bit different.
