Blizzard is raising the price of Hearthstone card packs in UK and rest of Europe

It looks like those of us in Europe can expect to see Hearthstone card pack prices rise by as much as 50 percent soon as Blizzard has announced this week that it will be making pricing adjustments across the board. These new prices will affect both the UK and the rest of Europe across PC, Mac and Android.

These price increases will coincide with the launch of Hearthstone's next adventure, the Journey of Un'Goro, on the 22nd of March. Blizzard's main explanation for these price bumps is a change in local and regional market conditions.

Here in the UK, two card packs will make the jump from £1.99 to £2.99, while seven card packs will go from £6.99 to £8.99. The 15 card pack bundle will go from £13.99 to £16.99, the 40 card pack bundle will go from £34.99 to £44.99 and finally, the 60 card pack bundle will jump from £47.99 to £59.99.

Euro pricing is getting more of a steady increase, with an 11 percent bump across the board, bringing prices up to:

  • 2 Packs – 2.99 €
  • 7 Packs – 9.99 €
  • 15 Packs – 19.99 €
  • 40 Packs – 49.99 €
  • 60 Packs – 69.99 €

KitGuru Says: Back when I played Hearthstone, it was a fairly regular thing for me to buy card packs, so I can see these price bumps upsetting quite a few players. Do any of you still play Hearthstone? How do you feel about the new card pack prices?
