Black Ops 6, Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone all coming to Xbox Cloud Gaming

Recently, Microsoft's future plans for Xbox Cloud Gaming (xCloud) became clear. Starting in November, gamers will finally be able to utilise cloud streaming for games they own. Naturally, this has also led to confirmation that Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3, Call of Duty: Warzone and the upcoming Black Ops 6, will all be playable via xCloud.

Black Ops 6 will be the first Call of Duty game to be available to stream via cloud gaming services at launch. We already know that on PC, the game will be streamable via GeForce Now. Microsoft has now confirmed that the game will also be available to stream on day-one via Xbox Cloud Gaming. That means those who purchase the game digitally, as well as Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, will be able to access the game at anytime, on any device via the cloud.

Microsoft has also confirmed that last year's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, as well as the free-to-play game mode, Warzone, will also be available via the cloud. All of this should be in place by the time Black Ops 6 launches on October 25th.

Microsoft has also recently announced plans to support Xbox game sales via its Android app. By doing this, Android users will be able to purchase games on their smartphones, and then immediately have access to play them via Xbox Cloud Gaming, opening up a new avenue for sales in the face of lowering console hardware sales.

KitGuru Says: Xbox Cloud Gaming has been around for four years now, but the rollout and expansion of the service has been quite slow. It seems Microsoft is finally ready to speed that process along a bit.
