BioShock 4 might get an official reveal soon

Back in December 2019, 2K Games officially set up a new studio to begin working on a new BioShock game. Last year, the team decided that the game would be built on Unreal Engine 5, and take the series into an open-world direction. We could be in for another update very soon, as 2K has begun teasing official BioShock news.

Not much is officially known about the next BioShock game. However, as 2K has been hiring for the project, we've been able to glean some details from job listings, including the fact that it'll be an open world game and use Unreal Engine 5.

Now, the 2K Games Twitter account has begun celebrating BioShock's 15-year anniversary. Gamescom ONL and The Game Awards host, Geoff Keighley, seems to be in on the teasing.

It is worth noting that the next BioShock game is likely still in early development, as Unreal Engine 5 only just fully released this year. With that in mind, any reveal would be a small teaser and not a full showing. 2K could have more up its sleeve for BioShock's anniversary though. Back when the Nvidia GeForce Now database leaked, BioShock RTX was found listed, indicating that a newly spruced up version of the game is on the way with ray-tracing in place.

KitGuru Says: BioShock has been on a good long break, but fans are eager to see the franchise return. Do you think the next BioShock will get a tease this year, or would you prefer 2K to wait until the game is closer to release?
