Battlefield 2042 beta broke an EA record

We're a month removed from the Battlefield 2042 beta and as it turns out, it was one of the biggest beta tests ever for the franchise. This time around with Battlefield 2042, three million players joined during the early access period, with that number more than doubling during the full open beta.

During EA's quarterly earnings call this week, CEO, Andrew Wilson, revealed that the Battlefield 2042 beta brought in 3.1 million players during the early access period and expanded to 7.7 million players during the full open beta. In terms of early access numbers, it was the biggest turnout for an early access beta in EA's history.

The Battlefield 2042 beta took place last month, six weeks ahead of the game's official release date, offering players a chance to play Conquest on the new Orbital map. Unfortunately, the beta did exhibit a number of issues with the game, leaving many to worry about a buggy launch.

Battlefield 2042 releases on the 19th of November, although Ultimate Edition pre-orderers, as well as EA Play and Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to begin playing early, starting on the 12th of November.
