Batman: Arkham Shadow gets October release date for Quest 3

Batman Arkham is getting a surprise return this year with Batman: Arkham Shadow. This new game in the series, set between the events of Arkham Origins and Arkham Asylum, will put players in the shoes of a young but increasingly confident version of Batman, with access to all of the crime fighting tools you would expect. Following a gameplay trailer earlier this Summer, the game's release date has now been announced.

We've already seen some gameplay from Arkham: Shadows, revealing the game's hand-to-hand combat and mix of gadgets, as well as the main focus of the campaign – taking down Gotham's Rat King. Now, we finally have a release date.

At this point in time, Batman: Arkham Shadow is going to be exclusive to the Meta Quest platform. More specifically, you will need a Quest 3 headset, or a newer Quest 3S in order to play the game. That may change in the future but for now, if you have a PC VR headset, you'll have to wait. Fortunately, the excellent looking Metro Awakening is also just around the corner, and that game will support all VR platforms, including Quest, PS VR2 and PC VR.

Batman: Arkham Shadow releases on the 22nd of October.

KitGuru Says: It looks like we are finishing the year strong in the VR space thanks to titles like Batman Arkham: Shadows and Metro: Awakening.
