Avowed PC system requirements announced

With pre-orders for Avowed now live, Obsidian has updated the game's Steam page to include PC system requirements. These are early system requirements, with simple ‘minimum' and ‘recommended' specs, but we expect a more detailed set of PC requirements closer to launch for those looking to play at 60+ FPS at higher resolutions.

Typically, minimum and recommended PC system requirements target 1080p/Low and 1080p/High although in this instance, the recommended specs are quite demanding, particularly on the GPU side. I find it hard to imagine that this game would need an RTX 3080 to run at 1080p.

Here are the current PC system requirements for the game:

Minimum Recommended
CPU AMD Ryzen 5 2600 / Intel Core i5 8400 AMD Ryzen 5 5600 X / Intel Core i7 10700K
RAM 16GB 16GB
GPU AMD RX 5700 / Nvidia GTX 1070 / Intel Arc A580 AMD RX 6800 XT / Nvidia RTX 3080
DirectX Version 12 Version 12
Storage 75 GB available space 75 GB available space

Avowed is scheduled to release in February 2025. The game was originally due to release in November 2024, but due to an overcrowded release schedule from Xbox, Obsidian's new RPG was pushed back a bit to give it some breathing room.
