Assassin’s Creed Mirage reportedly targeting October release date

While Assassin's Creed Mirage was initially expected to release in early 2023, the game has been delayed. Now, according to an Ubisoft leaker with a pretty good track record of accuracy, Ubisoft has pushed Mirage back a bit further from the Summer months to Q4.

According to YouTuber J0nathan, who has accurately reported on several Assassin's Creed leaks in the past, Ubisoft is now targeting a mid-October release date for Assassin's Creed Mirage. However, he notes that if October becomes packed with other big games, Ubisoft may choose to delay a few weeks more, pushing the game into November.

Initially, Assassin's Creed Mirage was rumoured to be coming before the end of 2022, but it was then pushed to ‘early 2023', a target that Ubisoft has now missed.

A lot of fans are looking forward to Mirage, as the game looks to bring back the stealth and assassination-focused gameplay of the older games in the series. A nice change of pace from the massive, 100+ hour open-world RPG Assassin's Creed games we've had in recent years.

Moving forward, Ubisoft is planning to invest more in the Assassin's Creed franchise, ramping up the number of developers working on projects. This includes everything from Assassin's Creed Infinity to VR spin-offs and Ubisoft's upcoming free-to-play mobile game and another game for Netflix.

KitGuru Says: Given that there were rumours that Mirage would be pushed to 2024 just a couple of months ago, this update is a welcome one. Ubisoft will be hosting its summer game announcements in June, so expect official information in just a few weeks time.
