Alien comes to Dead by Daylight this month

A few months ago, a 20th Century Fox employee teased a potential Aliens crossover with popular multiplayer horror title, Dead by Daylight. The developers confirmed this was happening last week and now, we have a full reveal.

As expected, the Xenomorph will be a new playable killer in the game and Ripley will make an appearance as a new survivor character. The Nostromo Wreckage will be introduced to the game as a new map too.

The Xenomorph will be able to hit survivors with its razor-sharp tail, and will be able to switch in and out of stealth, reducing its terror radius to catch survivors off-guard. The new map will include special tunnels that the Xenomorph can travel through, as well as new Control Stations for survivors, which grant new tools to aid in escape.

Ripley will have a few abilities too, including a new remote flame turret, which will stagger the Xenomorph and help survivors evade capture.

The Dead by Daylight: Alien DLC will be dropping a bit sooner than expected too. It'll launch on the 29th of August across all platforms.
