343 Industries hiring for ‘a new project in the Halo universe’

Barring any unforeseen delays, Halo Infinite will be out within the next six months across Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC. As the final development push on Infinite continues, it looks like Microsoft is also preparing for a new Halo game.

The Microsoft careers website was updated this week, calling for a Senior Producer to join 343 Industries and work with the “Core Services team to help develop a new project in the Halo universe”.

The job listing doesn't give away much more than that, but judging by the wording, this will be a spin-off, rather than a new mainline Halo game, which makes sense as players have not been able to give feedback on Halo Infinite yet.

It does seem to be a game though, as the listing calls for someone with experience shipping Triple A titles. This isn't a call for someone to help manage other areas of the Halo franchise, like TV, books, comics etc.

KitGuru Says: It has been a long time since the last Halo Wars, so perhaps this could be the first sign of a sequel. It'll be a while before anything is ready to be announced though.

KitGuru Games: The Genius Casting of Kaitlyn Dever in HBO’s The Last of Us

Following an explosive and highly popular first series, HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2 is almost upon us. Set to premiere on the 13th of April, the sequel season based on Naughty Dog’s controversial Part II is likely to spark up even more discourse than the first. Unlike 2020’s masterpiece however, HBO’s adaptation has made one key decision which – if handled well – could not only serve to build upon the theming of the game itself, but also function as a different way to tell the same message. That being the casting of Kaitlyn Dever as Abby.
