There’s a lot of Esports happening this weekend

If you're a fan of Esports, this weekend is going to be an exciting one for you. Not only can you head to Multiplay's Insomnia 50 event (and possibly bump into at least one member of the KitGuru team) which features several competitive tournaments, including a big League of Legends one, but there's also three big worldwide Esports events too.

First up is DreamHack Winter, a massive show that will showcase some of the best StarCraft talent the world has to offer, including stars from the US, Korea, Sweden, Germany and more. It's the last step on the Dreamhack tournament road of 2013, so the finale is likely to be explosive.

Next up is the World Cyber Games, which may be a little smaller than some of the other offerings on this list, but it still has a $300,000 prize pool and will feature gaming right across the board. There's League of Legends action, alongside FIFA 14, Warcraft III: Frozen Throne, World of Tanks, Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition and more.

And finally we have the IEM Singapore tournament, which is already underway with its Starcraft II action. While Heart of the Swarm is the focus of this eastern tournie, there will be some League of Legends gameplay as well, with the semi-finals of the amateur tournament taking place later today, concluding on sunday with a celebrity ARAM event and the Grand Final of the pro-tournament.

KitGuru Says: So if you don't have much going on this weekend, power up Twitch and get watching. Maybe you'll learn a thing or too. Or at least get drunk enough to not care who wins.

[Thanks PCgamesN for the heads up]
