You’ll need a beefy PC to play Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora at max settings

Ubisoft has released the system requirements for its upcoming game, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and it looks like the game will require some hefty hardware to run at its best. The game will feature ray-traced global illumination, shadows, and reflections, and will be powered by the Snowdrop Engine.

Players will need a minimum of an AMD RX 5700, an Nvidia GTX 1070, or an AMD Arc A750 paired with a Ryzen 5 3600 or an Intel Core i7-8700K to run the game at 1080p/Low with FSR 2.0 Quality at 30FPS. To play at 1080p and 60FPS on High Settings with FSR 2.0 Quality, players will need an AMD RX 6700XT or an Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti and a Ryzen 5 5600X or an Intel Core i5-11600K. A similar CPU and an AMD RX 6800XT or an Nvidia RTX 3080 will allow you to push it to 1440p with 60FPS on the High preset and FSR2 Quality.

Gaming at 4K/High with FSR 2.0 Balanced at 60FPS is by far the most demanding, as it will require an AMD Radeon RX 7900 XTX or an Nvidia RTX 4080 and a Ryzen 7 5800X3D or an Intel Core i7-12700K. The full list of system requirements can be found below:

MINIMUM

  • Visual setting: 1080p, Low Preset with FSR2 Quality / 30 FPS
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 / Intel Core i7-8700K
  • GPU: AMD RX 5700 8 GB/Nvidia GTX 1070 8GB / Intel Arc A750 8GB (REBAR ON)
  • RAM: 16GB dual-channel
  • Storage: 90GB SSD
  • Operating System: Windows 10 / Windows 11 with DirectX12

RECOMMENDED

  • Visual setting: 1080p, High Preset with FSR2 Quality / 60 FPS
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X / Intel Core i5-11600K
  • GPU: AMD RX 6700 XT 12GB / Nvidia RTX 3060 Ti 8GB
  • RAM: 16GB dual-channel

ENTHUSIAST

  • Visual setting: 1440p, High Preset with FSR2 Quality / 60 FPS
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X / Intel Core i5-1600K
  • GPU: AMD RX 6800 XT 16GB / Nvidia RTX 3080 10GB
  • RAM: 16GB dual-channel

ULTRA

  • Visual setting: 4K, Ultra Preset with FSR2 Balanced / 60 FPS
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D / Intel Core i7-12700K
  • GPU: AMD RX 7900 XTX 24GB / Nvidia RTX 4080 16GB
  • RAM: 16GB dual-channel

Regardless of the performance target, Ubisoft recommends 90GB of free SSD storage to install the game.

KitGuru says: Seeing these specifications, it seems an RTX 4090 might not be enough to run the game at 4K native with 60 FPS.
