Stellaris is getting a new expansion soon

Stellaris has stood the test of time as one of the most popular space-based 4X strategy games on PC. Development isn't slowing down in 2024 either, with the new Machine Age expansion set to launch very soon.

The update includes new Ascension Paths for Machine Empires and three new origins: Cybernetic Creed, Synthetic Fertility, and Arc Welders. The Cybernetic Creed is an empire that worships the fusion of the body and cybernetics. As for Synthetic Fertility, it is an empire that is unable to reproduce biologically due to a genetic disease. Lastly, the Arc Welders are a robotic society in need of resources.

The upcoming expansion will also bring a new Crisis Path, which focuses on technological dominance at whatever cost, and a new End-Game Crisis centred on the resurgence of an old synthetic enemy. These will occur concurrently with the development of non-Gestalt, providing players with fresh tales and beginnings.

The Machine Age also includes new portraits, six new Civics, new species traits, and two new mid-game structures: the Arc Furnace and Dyson Swarms. The Machine Age expansion will be released in Q2 2024 alongside the free Andromeda update.
