SteelSeries refreshes wireless headset line with the Arctis 7+ and Arctis 7P+

SteelSeries will update two of its most-awarded products with the launch of the Arctis 7+ and Arctis 7P+ wireless headsets. Despite introducing new features like extended battery life, quick charge, and more connectivity options, the new Arctis 7 wireless headphones will retain some specifications of the old models.

Design-wise, the SteelSeries Arctis 7+ is almost indistinguishable from the older Arctis 7. Available in an all-black colourway, it comes with a similar steel headband with the adjustable ski-goggle style band and in-earcup audio controls, including a ChatMix dial. Arctis 7+ owners will have the chance to test SteelSeries Sonar, a new audio software that enables 7.1 Surround Sound, ChatMix, equalizer and other device settings.

Compatible with a multitude of devices, including PC, PS5, PS4, PC, Android, Switch, USB-C devices and more, the Arctis 7+ comes with a compact USB-C dongle to provide low latency 2.4 GHz connectivity, making it a suitable solution for gamers. Battery life was increased to 30 hours and can be fast-charged for 15 mins to provide 3 hours of continuous playback. The retractable bidirectional microphone in the headset is Discord-certified and features noise-cancellation for enhanced communication.

The Arctis 7P+ is also very similar to its predecessor, sharing the aesthetics, headband with a ski-goggle band, in-earcup audio controls, and the same colour schemes (black and white). What makes it different from the Arctis 7+ is this headset is fully compatible with PlayStation 5's Tempest 3D AudioTech, a 3D audio technology that provides you with an immersive sound experience.

However, that doesn't mean you can't use them with a PlayStation 4, PC, Android system, Switch, or any other USB-C device. Like the Arctis 7+, it includes a USB-C dongle for low latency 2.4 GHz wireless connectivity, and the battery can last for up to 30 hours, allowing you to fast-charge it for 15 minutes for a 3-hour gaming session. The microphone is also the same as the other Arctis 7 headset, which will allow you to communicate with your friends and team clearly, even in the heat of battle.

Both the Arctis 7+ and Arctis 7P+ are now available for purchase for $169.99/€199.99. Discuss on our Facebook page, HERE.
