Returnal is coming to PC on February 15th, system requirements revealed

Sony has finally shared more details about the PC version of Returnal. Besides giving us the lowdown on PC-exclusive features and the game's system requirements, Sony revealed the Housemarque-developed title will be available for PC players on February 15th….

Returnal was originally a PS5-exclusive title, but we've been expecting it to arrive on PC since it was name-dropped as part of the massive GeForce Now leak. At The Game Awards Show, Sony PlayStation finally confirmed it is indeed coming to PC, with an early 2023 release window. Yesterday, the exact launch day was revealed, with Returnal landing on February 15th.

Alongside the announcement, Sony also revealed the system requirements and a variety of PC features. These include Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR upscaling technologies, as well as NIS at launch. We get support for 21:9 and 32:9 displays and keyboard and mouse controls with custom mappings. Ray-traced shadows were already on the console version, but the studio also added ray-traced reflections for some extra eye candy. In the audio department, there's support for Dolby Atmos, two 3D audio solutions, and  5.1 and 7.1 surround sound systems.

As an Unreal Engine 4 game, we also hope that some sort of PSO caching/shader pre-compilation has been integrated into the game to avoid any shader compilation stutters.

The table below summarises the system requirements to play Returnal at various levels of detail, with all configurations targeting 60FPS.
