QuakeCon 2021 shouldn’t feature new game announcements

Bethesda has shared some details about the upcoming QuakeCon 2021. Taking place from August 19-21, QuakeCon 2021 will go all-digital once again, including livestreams with developers, updates on existing and upcoming games, tournaments, giveaways, and much more. However, don't expect new game announcements.

Keeping the BYOC theme at its core, QuakeCon 2021 will unite all the QuakeCon community through the official QuakeCon Twitch Team, where the team will be broadcasting gameplay, doing giveaways, and shares some more about existing and upcoming games. Another lasting tradition in QuakeCon is raising money for charity institutions. During the stream, viewers will be able to donate to multiple institutions directly, including the Asian Americans Advancing Justice (AAJC), NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, The Trevor Project, and UNICEF. The animal charity T-shirts are also making a comeback, this time with a Doom Eternal and Deathloop theme. You can take a look and order these T-shirts by following this link.

QuakeCon 2021's partners include Alienware, BAWLS, Fractal Design, Pecos Pete, Razer, SteelSeries, and more that will soon be announced. The event will start on Thursday, August 19th, at 02:00 PM ET.

KitGuru says: Bethesda plans to release the detailed schedule of the event in the coming weeks, hopefully sharing which games will be featured in the event. Although we don't expect to see any new games, it still might be worth taking a look if you want to check what's coming to Doom Eternal or learn more about Deathloop.
