PlayStation confirms State of Play featuring over 15 upcoming games

Recent rumours appear to have been true. PlayStation is indeed hosting a State of Play stream this week, with plans to showcase over 15 games coming to PS5 and PlayStation VR2. We'll be getting new looks at previously announced games like Rise of the Ronin, as well as some brand new titles, perhaps even a new Metro VR game, which has appeared in recent rumours.

The event will commence at 10PM GMT on January 31st. PlayStation Studios CEO Hermen Hulst has confirmed that the broadcast will run for over 40 minutes and will feature guest appearances, game reveals, and extended looks at some upcoming games, namely Stellar Blade and Rise of the Ronin, both of which are coming out later this year.

In total, the event will cover over 15 games coming to the PS5 and PS VR2. Although Hulst only mentioned two, rumours have pointed to some other titles we may see during the showcase. According to @Shpeshal_Nick, who was right on the date, other games we may see at the event include Death Stranding 2, Silent Hill 2, Until Dawn remaster, and Judas (from BioShock creator Ken Levine).

We should also get some news on Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, which is due to be launching exclusively for PS5 next month.
