Paradox’s Star Trek game is coming to PC and Mac on October 12th

Paradox Interactive and Nimble Giant Entertainment have recently announced that Star Trek: Infinite will be released on Mac and PC on October 12th. Players may now pre-order the game's standard or digital deluxe editions, with the latter including bonuses like skins, ships, and a unique voiceover.

Nimble Giant Entertainment will be posting the first in a series of Developer Diaries next week, delving further into the game and its development experience. Within this week, the developer will also launch a Discord server to share more details about the game, allowing fans to learn more ahead of the release.

Star Trek: Infinite is set decades before the events of Star Trek: The Next Generation. The game will give players a chance to determine the fate of the galaxy as a faction of their choosing. The grand strategy game puts players in command of one of four distinct Quadrant Powers: the United Federation of Planets, the Romulan Star Empire, the Cardassian Union, or the Klingon Empire. While keeping true to Star Trek canon, the game presents new paths for adventure by allowing players to explore the Alpha and Beta quadrants, oversee empire dynamics, deal with economic complexities, and interact with unknown civilizations.

Star Trek: Infinite has sophisticated strategic gameplay that lets you build your own Star Trek journey. Additionally, the game features mission trees, missions for smaller nations, espionage, and a diverse set of interfaces that put you in direct control of your faction. The game is now available to pre-order, and those who do so will get the following bonuses:

  • Lower Decks clothing choices
  • USS Cerritos, a scientific ship with specific options for small nations (Second Contact)
  • Klingon adviser voice line called “Qapla”

Furthermore, the game's Digital Deluxe Edition (DDE) contains a digital artbook, the game soundtrack, and an in-game music pack with legendary tunes from Star Trek's rich past.
