Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess has been played by over 500,000 gamers

Capcom has been focusing on its existing IPs recently, with franchises such as Resident Evil, Monster Hunter, and Street Fighter taking centre stage. However, the company's foray into experimental new IP has been successful and well-received by gamers. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is one such example, and it seems that the action-strategy game is starting to make its mark.

Less than a month after the game's release, Capcom shared on X that Kunitsu-Gami has garnered a sizable player base, with over 500,000 players globally across all platforms. However, it's worth noting that the game has been available on Game Pass since day one, which has most certainly helped it reach the milestone. Nonetheless, achieving this for a new IP within a month of its release is an achievement.

Capcom is offering various in-game extras to celebrate this milestone, including Mazo Talisman: Jubilee, Dancing Crane, and the Okami collaboration Mazo Talisman: Amaterasu.

With a “Very Positive” score of 90% and 833 reviews on Steam, Kunitsu-Gami has generally been well-received by players. Game critics have also enjoyed the game, which currently counts 75 reviews and has an average score of 82 (89% recommend), according to OpenCritic. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
