Helldivers 2 goes gold with a new trailer

Arrowhead Studios has recently announced that the upcoming third-person action shooter Helldivers 2 has just gone gold. To celebrate the milestone, the studio has released the launch trailer, showing new footage of its latest title.

The trailer in question showcases the game's different weapons and emphasises collaboration. It also continues with the humourous approach of the previous trailers, as the developer compares its game with Starship Troopers through various analogies.

Moreover, the trailer offers a better look at some of the action in Helldivers 2, with most of it taking place in hazardous locations, with players being pushed about by aliens and explosions. It also introduces new opponents like bots, tanks, and more of the already-known gigantic extraterrestrial beings.

Helldivers 2 is a sci-fi shooter designed for solo or co-op play with up to four players over randomly generated levels, allowing them to explore various extraterrestrial planets. The sequel departs significantly from the previous game, shifting from a top-down to a third-person viewpoint. The game will be released on February 8th for PC and PlayStation platforms, supporting crossplay across them.
