Google launches one last game to Stadia before it’s shut down for good

We're just a few days away from Stadia's final closure, but Google has decided to launch one last game on the platform before shutting it down. The title in question is Worm Game, a Snake-like offering developed by the Stadia team that was used to test the cloud features of the platform.

Before Google launched Stadia, the company needed a game to test the platform. That game was Worm Game, and it's now available to play on Stadia. As a part of the history of Google's cloud gaming platform, which will be shut down in just a couple of days, Google decided to launch Worm Game to the public as a last farewell to Stadia.

The team describes Worm Game as a “humble title” used to test many of Stadia's features before the platform's public debut in 2019. According to the Stadia team, this title won't win any GOTY awards, but they still spent quite some time with it. As such, they thought it would be a good idea to share it with Stadia's users for a last hurrah.

Overall, the game looks a lot like Snake but with a few changes to make it more interesting. Besides allowing you to play in a multiplayer environment, some levels have a labyrinth layout, and others feature puzzle mechanics that will put your skills to the test. If you have an active Stadia account, you can try it now HERE.
