Football Manager 25 has been delayed to March 2025

Sega and Sports Interactive have announced that Football Manager 25 will be delayed until March 2025, with a gameplay presentation now scheduled for January. According to Sports Interactive, the decision aims to ensure that the game meets expectations by delivering the best possible experience in this new era of Football Manager as the franchise moves to the Unity Engine.

In September's Development Update, the team behind FM25 announced a delay in the game's release to ensure a top-notch gaming experience. Citing the need for more time to meet high standards and fan expectations, the studio acknowledged the challenges faced during the development cycle and emphasised the importance of not rushing the release at the expense of quality.

Unfortunately, this first delay proved insufficient, forcing the team to push the release to March 2025. Once confirmed, release dates for other platforms (Console, Mobile, and Touch) will be announced. Players who have pre-ordered the game will be eligible for a refund.

Regarding the Advanced Access for PC/Mac, it will still be available ahead of the new release date. Moreover, the gameplay reveal has been rescheduled for the end of January 2025.

KitGuru says: Are you a fan of Football Manager? Do you agree with the delay, or do you think they should scrap FM 25 and move to FM 26?
