EA and Codemasters will launch F1 23 on June 16th

EA has made a big push into the racing scene after acquiring Codemasters. Now, the official F1 games are published under EA and the next one is right around the corner, with F1 23 set to release on the 16th of June. The game features every team, driver and circuit of the championship, including the new Las Vegas and Qatar circuits.

The game's main attraction, the Braking Point story mode, returns with even more drama and action. In this mode, you'll follow the careers of Aiden Jackson and Devon Butler, who find themselves together at Konnersport Racing Team. Meanwhile, Callie Mayer, Devon's sister and a rising star in Formula 2, is keen to make her mark in Formula 1. The story takes many twists and turns based on the choices made by the players.

As for the new circuits, F1 23 introduces two new racing locations: the Las Vegas Street Circuit and the Losail International Circuit in Doha, Qatar. The Las Vegas Street Circuit is a brand new layout, never before raced in Formula 1. In addition, legacy tracks like Circuit Paul Ricard in France, Shanghai International Circuit in China, and the Algarve International Circuit in Portugal are also included for use in various game modes.

Thanks to the feedback obtained from the F1 team, F1 23's vehicle handling has been vastly improved compared to the previous, providing better traction and more predictable behaviour when braking, accelerating, and cornering. The new Precision Drive controller technology is a game-changer for pad players, providing even more control and confidence while on the track.

Based on feedback, the F1 23 development team added many other features, such as the return of red flags after a nine-year absence, a new 35% race distance, and a new colour encoding system, which offers a more realistic visual experience. F1 World, the go-to place for all things F1, debuts in F1 23, introducing players to the complex world of Formula 1 through multiple game modes like Time Trial, Grand Prix, and Multiplayer, with seasonal content and challenges to unlock new liveries, race suits, and helmets.

The digital-exclusive F1 23 Champions Edition is available for pre-order. It comes with bonus content such as the time-limited Las Vegas content pack, Max Verstappen racewear pack, new icons and vanity items, dual entitlement, XP Boost, F1 World bumper pack, and 18,000 PitCoins. The physical and digital Standard Edition, featuring EA SPORTS ambassador Charles Leclerc alongside Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris, includes a starter pack and 5,000 PitCoins. F1 23 will be released for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam on June 16th, 2023.
