The release date for Desperados III has been revealed, and the game will be available for all supported platforms on June 16, 2020. Alongside the announcement, THQ Nordic also released a trailer showing off the main character, the gunslinger John Cooper.
According to THQ Nordic, Desperados III is a prequel of the first Desperados game. In this “story-driven, hardcore tactical stealth game”, you will follow the quest of John Cooper in the harsh Wild West. Cooper will then tag with “the runaway bride Kate”, the hitman Doc McCoy, the trapper Hector, and the mysterious Isabelle. In this journey, Cooper's gang will go through the faraway towns, swamps and riverbanks, until the theatrical climax, “worthy of Wild West legends”.
In Desperados III, you can play as one of the five characters, each with their own set of skills. You will be free to choose how to overcome the challenges that are presented to you, including lethal and non-lethal methods, stealth or a full-frontal assault. Additionally, the “Showdown mode” allows you to pause the game whenever you want, letting you react to an ambush or carefully plan your next move.

Desperados III will be available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. You can pre-order the deluxe edition of the game for the price of the standard edition, starting at £44,99/49,99€ on Steam. There's also a physical Collector's Edition containing lots of extras, as seen on this trailer, available for pre-order starting at £99,99/109,99€ for PC.
