Deep Rock Galactic Survivor has sold 1 million copies, new biome incoming

Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor, the single-player survival spin-off of the popular co-op mining game, has recently reached an impressive milestone by selling over 1,000,000 copies in just one month of being released on Steam Early Access. To commemorate the achievement, the developer Funday Games and publisher Ghost Ship have released the first big update for their game, including a new biome that takes you deeper into the depths of Hoxxes IV.

The latest addition to Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is the Salt Pits biome, the fourth environment from the main game to be added to Survivor. Along with other places in the roguelike game, players must be aware of their surroundings and use them to their advantage by dumping well-placed stalactite clusters on foes' heads.

In addition to the new biome, players will encounter a new opponent type from the base game, the Q'ronar Younglings. Although they lack some of the more harmful qualities of their adult form, a swarm of them rushing towards you in a tight corner can still be challenging.

The Deep Rock Galactic Survivor Salt Pits upgrade is set to go live on Wednesday, March 20th. Funday Games has promised that this is just the first of many upgrades planned on the roadmap, which is expected to run for up to 12 months until the game's 1.0 release.
