Chronos: Before the Ashes is the prequel to Remnant: From the Ashes

Developed by Gunfire Games and published by THQ Nordic, Chronos: Before the Ashes is the prequel to Remnant From the Ashes. Featuring a unique levelling system and deep combat, each time you die in Chronos, your character will age, creating a unique twist to this Souls-like game.

In Chronos: Before the Ashes, you play as a young hero that must fight against “an ancient evil” to defend its home. Be careful when you enter the “mysterious labyrinth” filled with powerful and grotesque monsters and demanding puzzles, because for each time you die you get a year older.

While you're young, it's “easy to get stronger and quicker”, but as you age, you get wiser and learn more about magic and the arcane. To complete the labyrinth, you have to consider how old your character is and adapt your gameplay. The “deep combat” offers you multiple weapons, abilities, and powers that it will help you on your quest.

This game is based on the VR-exclusive Chronos from Gunfire Games and has been adapted to work without needing a VR headset. Chronos: Before the Ashes is set to release on December 1st on PC, Stadia, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Playstation 4. You can learn more about this game HERE.
