Basemark introduces new cross-platform GPU benchmark ‘Sacred Path’

Cross-platform GPU benchmark software can help compare the graphical capabilities of various GPUs across different devices, but not many support the latest GPU technologies. Thankfully, Basemark has announced a new GPU benchmark to fill in that gap.

With full support for the major operating systems, including Android, iOS, Linux, macOS and Windows, Basemark's Sacred Path is the world's first cross-platform GPU benchmark featuring the latest technologies like Variable Rate Shading (VRS). That makes it a valuable tool for software and GPU vendors, device manufacturers, and the IT media.

Like the previous entries to the GPUScore trilogy (Relic of Life and The Expedition), Sacred Path has been developed to function as a QA tool with a laboratory-like environment for precise results. The new benchmark software was created alongside partners, such as Samsung, Nvidia, MediaTek, Imagination Technologies, Broadcom, ARM, and Qualcomm, to ensure the product's quality, reliability and correct usage of the latest graphics technologies.

Basemark's latest benchmark tool is now available to download here for free. You can currently download it for Windows 10/11, Android 11+, iOS 15+, macOS 12+, Ubuntu 20.04 LTS and Linux Flatpak.

KitGuru says: Do you think there should be more cross-platform benchmark software to test systems' and components' performance regardless of the platform they run on? Will you try Basemark's new benchmark tool?
