Avatar: The Last Airbender is getting a AAA RPG

Paramount Game Studios and Sabre Interactive recently unveiled an upcoming action RPG set in the Avatar Legends universe. This game results from the studio and publisher's collaboration with Avatar Studios, founded by the original creators in 2021 with the objective of expanding the Avatar universe.

While still in early production, the developers have stated to IGN that this will be the “biggest video game in franchise history”. The game will offer a fresh story, taking players thousands of years into the past of the Avatar world. It will allow players to explore a vibrant world, master all four elements, and engage in combat alongside companions. The game hasn't got a release date yet, but it's known that it will be released for PC and consoles.

The Avatar franchise has already had its fair share of unsuccessful games. Hopefully, this one will be different and offer the same quality that the TV series is known for.

Paramount Game Studios will act as the publisher for the upcoming Avatar game, while Saber Interactive will be responsible for developing it. Other works of this studio include Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, World War Z, and Snowrunner, just to name some of its better-received titles. Besides the new Avatar game, the studio is also working on the action-adventure, Jurassic Park: Survival, and John Carpenter's Toxic Commando. The latter is expected to be released for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S this year.
