Early Xbox One owner invited to console launch

The past few days must seem like a dream to Youtube user Moonlightswami. First he posts up a video showing off his newly arrived Xbox One console – which retailer Target accidently shipped out early – which led to his machine receiving the “banned,” message that a few other customers did. It was only an online block, not an offline one, but this didn't stop the man venting on his Twitter. This caught the attention of Larry “Major Nelson,” Hryb, who promised to get it fixed and in a gesture of goodwill, has now granted Moonlightswami a whole host of new priveleges. First up, the man has been invited to the Xbox One launch event, which is a nice touch in itself. On top of that though, he's having his console unblocked so he can use his Xbox One as normal and he's had the nod from Microsoft that it's ok to post content on his Youtube channel about the Xbox One, before launch day – meaning he's about to net himself a lot of hits.

To top it all off, he's also getting a $100 Target gift card and is being sent a legal letter from Microsoft, stating that he did nothing wrong – making Microsoft look like the good guy if he decides to sue for whatever reason.

These were all announced via Moonlightswami's Twitter, where he has pledged to release a lot more details about the console in the coming weeks.

KitGuru Says: Some have suggested that this was a PR stunt by Microsoft, but it seems too clumsy for that. What do you guys think?
