Tomb Raider received much acclaim from critics, who praised the graphics, the gameplay and Camilla Luddington’s performance as Lara with many critics agreeing that the game is a solid and much needed reboot of the franchise. Much criticism went to the addition of the multiplayer which many felt was unnecessary. We test at 1080p, 1600p and 4K resolutions with the image quality settings maximised.
The GTX970 scores well at 1080p, and even 1600p, falling short at 4K resolutions. Ideally you would want one or two GTX980/Ti's for a smooth Ultra HD 4K gaming experience.
