Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt launches later this month

The Vampire franchise is a well-regarded and much-loved video game series due primarily to the classic 2004 PC title ‘Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines’. The franchise has since been revived with multiple projects in the works, including a sequel and a battle royale title – the latter of which is launching later this month.

Vampire: the Masquerade – Bloodhunt is a free-to-play battle royale game developed and published by Tencent-owned studio ‘Sharkmob’. Announced back in October 2020, the game has been in early access since September of last year.

Reception towards the early access release has been mixed, but many agreed that the game showed a good deal of potential. After 6 months in early access, Sharkmob has announced that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt is officially launching on PS5 and PC on the 27th of April 2022.

While the game is free-to-play, there are of course ways to pay for additional content, including a $60 Founders Ultimate Edition which will come with over 100 character customisation items, over a dozen outfits, emotes, icons, character backgrounds, in-game currency and more.

The battle royale genre may not be as fresh as it was when the game was first announced, but hopefully its unique setting and mechanics helps to make Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodhunt stand out in the sea of BR titles.
