Valheim tops Steam charts for 6th week in a row

Each week, Valve releases its Steam weekly sales charts, giving insight into which titles are performing well on its platform and which are not. Since its launch on the 2nd of February, Valheim has steamrolled the charts, maintaining its position at the top for 6 weeks in a row.

For the week ending on the 14th of March, Steam’s top 10 sellers, as ranked by revenue includes:

  1. Valheim
  2. Forza Horizon 4
  3. Loop Hero
  4. Valve Index VR Kit
  5. Forza Horizon 4 (Deluxe/Ultimate Edition)
  6. Tale of Immortal
  7. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive – Operation Broken Fang
  8. Middle-earth: Shadow of War Definitive Edition
  9. Stronghold: Warlords
  10. Metro Exodus – Gold Edition

Of course, the real winner for this past week continued to be Valheim. Since its launch on the 2nd of February, the vikings-themed survival title has maintained its position at the top, with this being the 6th week to do so. This is even more impressive when considering the fact that these charts are ranked by revenue, and Valheim sells for just £15.49.

Most recent sales figures put the game at 5 million copies sold, but with its current trajectory being maintained, it wouldn't be surprising to hear the game having sold a further million any day now. It will be interesting to see just how many weeks Valheim can remain at the top spot, and what game will eventually overtake it.
