TMNT: Splintered Fate post-launch roadmap announced

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate was an iOS Apple Arcade exclusive co-op hack and slash roguelike released back in May of 2023. Since then, the game has come to the Nintendo Switch, with a PC release set for some time later this year. Ahead of an official release date, the team have announced and unveiled their post-launch roadmap.

Taking to their blog, the team at Super Evil Megacorp have now detailed all of the post-launch plans for TMNT: Splintered Fate following its PC release later this year, saying intially:

“Our next update will be going live very soon for both the Switch and Apple Arcade. This means that TMNT Splintered Fate will now support cross play between the two platforms, simply just share your run code. Apple Arcade players will also be getting all of the updates that the Switch has, including couch co-op across all devices (requires Bluetooth controllers). The update will also include various bug fixes and stability improvements for both platforms.”

As mentioned, Splintered Fate is set to arrive on PC later this year, marking a major milestone for the game and kicking off its true post-launch plans, with the team stating:

“We have officially started working on DLC for TMNT Splintered Fate. We’re not going to reveal too much today, but our first DLC is going to include one of the Turtles closest allies as a playable character! But that’s not all, expect a new environment, narrative and enemies. Get ready for a new original TMNT story as well as a brand new chapter to play through, runs will continue to be 4 chapters so you’ll have to pick your direction each run. We hope this DLC will be the first of many.”

Though no specific dates were given, the full post-release roadmap is intended to launch over the course of 2024/2025. While Apple Arcade is a welcome service which has facilitated the development of a number of cool titles, it is welcome to see more and more of these exclusives coming to additional platforms. Hopefully Sonic Dream Team is next.
