The Day Before launches in Early Access next month

The Day Before was a much-anticipated open-world survival MMO “set in a deadly, post-pandemic America overrun by flesh-hungry infected and survivors killing each other for food, weapons, and cars”. Unfortunately, the game has suffered from a plethora of push backs including legal issues, delays and much more. Previously planned to launch on the 10th of November, The Day Before has gotten one more delay – with it now said to arrive in Early Access in December.

After being delisted from Steam due to trademark issues, The Day Before is finally back with a new store page alongside a revised release date: with Early Access said to be launching on the 7th of December.

The team explained their reasons for taking the Early Access route, saying “The game is in Early Access because this is our first huge game at Fntastic, and there may be unforeseen circumstances. Early Access also allows us to refine and improve the game in collaboration with the Community.”

The Day Before will supposedly stay in Early Access for 6-8 months, but considering just how volatile this project has been, it would not be shocking to see it extended a great deal further. That said, it is somewhat surprising to see that the game is actually coming out after spending so long as vapourware. It will be interesting to see what players think when The Day Before finally arrives on the 7th of December.
