Prior Call of Duty entries finally come to Steam

After spending years away from the platform, Activision finally announced that it would bring all future published titles to Steam. This began with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II late last year and since then we have seen a number of missing Activision titles added to the platform. Though not the full library of missing games, a number of older Call of Duty titles have finally been brought over to Steam.

Available to purchase on Steam right now, Activision has brought over its 3 most recent Call of Duty entries, namely 2019’s Call of Duty Modern Warfare; 2020’s COD Black Ops Cold War and then 2021’s Call of Duty Vanguard. All three titles are currently on sale for 50% off, meaning you can get your hands on each of these games for £24.99 a pop.

With the addition of these three entries, there only remains a few COD titles which have yet to be added – those being Call of Duty Black Ops 4 and Modern Warfare 2 Campaign Remastered.

While each Call of Duty game does stand on its own merits, it is typical for the COD fanbase to move from game to game each time a new entry is released, and so the inclusion of these prior titles is somewhat less significant than it may initially appear.

Still, it is welcome nonetheless to see that slowly but surely all of Activision’s previously-exclusive titles are being unshackled from the Battle.net store.
