No More Heroes 3’s substandard PC port will be fixed

Following its release on the Nintendo Switch in August of last year, No More Heroes 3 was confirmed to be coming to other systems: namely the PS4/5, Xbox One and Series consoles as well as PC. Unfortunately, the game’s PC port is in many ways inferior to the console versions – though luckily a patch is promised to be on the way.

With No More Heroes 3 now available across all announced devices, fans have gotten their hands on the action title, being able to compare the game graphically across systems. Unexpectedly, the PC version of the game is currently one of the worst-looking, being little more than a port of the Switch release, with Twitch streamer GhenryPerez noting on Twitter that:

“Muteki handled the console rereleases of NMH3, while Bee Tribe handled the PC ports. PS5 version got updated visuals and draw distances. Even the shirts got updated textures. PC version doesn't get any of this, because it's literally the Switch version.”

Fortunately, in the wake of this discovery, the game’s publisher XSEED addressed the matter, saying “Thanks for celebrating the launch of Travis' latest adventure on new platforms like Steam. We're excited for you to explore Santa Destroy once again, and we wanted to let you know there will be an update coming soon to improve some of the visual elements in this version, including draw distance.”

No window of time was given regarding when fans might expect this patch, but the publisher’s quick response to the controversy is appreciated. Hopefully the PC patch comes quick, allowing PC users (and XSEED) to move beyond this mistake.
