Horizon Forbidden West comes to PC in March

Back in September of last year, Sony announced that Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition would be coming to PC in Early 2024. With us nearing the end of January, the team at Guerrilla Games and Nixxes have now announced an official release date.

Making the announcement via the PlayStation Blog, Julian Huijbregts – the Online Community Specialist at PC porting studio Nixxes Software – said:

“Hey everyone, are you ready to continue Aloy’s epic adventure on PC? On March 21, you’ll be able to explore the Forbidden West, battle awe-inspiring machines and encounter new tribes.”

As expected, the PC version will come with a few nifty extra features and enhancements including unlocked frame rates; customizable graphics; Nvidia’s DLSS 3 Frame Generation and DLAA; AMD’s FSR; Intel’s XESS; and DirectStorage for fast loading.

Finally, the PC version will also support an incredibly wide range of aspect ratios, stretching as far as 48:9 for triple monitor setups and beyond. Of course, those with a DualSense controller will also be able to take advantage of all its unique features, including the adaptive triggers and haptics.

With a couple months to go still, Nixxes has promised to offer full details on the game’s PC system requirements “In the coming weeks”. That said, considering the base game was a cross-gen title, hopefully Forbidden West will run on a wide range of devices.

KitGuru says: Are you excited for Forbidden West? What aspect ratio is your monitor? What other PC specific features would you like to see added? Let us know down below.
