GTA V seemingly coming to PC Game Pass

Over the past few days, many of Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox Game Pass titles have leaked, with August’s line-up reportedly including Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Mafia. Thanks to yet another insider we now have a 3rd game which is set to drop onto Game Pass soon: Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto V.

As reported by known Rockstar leaker/dataminer Tez2, “Rockstar Games is preparing #GTAV to be playable via Xbox's PC Game Pass for future availability”. Offering slightly more details on the matter, Tez2 claimed that the functionality would work through the Rockstar Games launcher, meaning no cross-platform support.

Speaking of platforms, while GTA V has been on Xbox Game Pass in the past, this will be the first time that the game is made available to PC subscribers – for the very few who have yet to purchase the 2nd best-selling video game of all time.

It is currently unknown when exactly GTA V will be added to Game Pass, but with all the backend systems seemingly being put in place right now, it will likely be quite soon.
