Epic’s final free game of the year seemingly revealed

For the final two weeks of 2022, Epic Games is giving away a new title for free every single day. Ahead of its official announcement, the final free game of the year seems to have been figured out thanks to the not-so-mysterious wrapping paper used for this digital ‘gift’.

Looking closely at the icon for the upcoming “mystery game” which is set to be made available later today on the 29th of December at 4PM, the iconography clearly indicates that the free game in question will be related to the Dishonored franchise.

First released in 2013, Dishonored is a stealth-action title which sees you play as Corvo – a disgraced former bodyguard for the Empress, who was wrongly accused for a crime he did not commit.

While an interesting concept – with moral choices and multiple approaches to deal with enemies – the gameplay is where Dishonored truly shines, thanks to its stealth focused super powers including the likes of Blink; Blood Thirsty; Dark Vision and Devouring Swarm – to name just a few.

Dishonored would later see a sequel in 2016 and a standalone expansion one year later. All this is to say that it is currently unknown which exact title Epic Games plans to give away – but regardless of which entry, players are certainly in for a treat.
