Cities: Skylines will be free on the Epic Games Store

Each week, the Epic Games Store offers a number of titles for free to all those with an Epic account. This week’s free titles are now available, however even more exciting perhaps is the reveal of next week’s free game.

The games available to redeem from now until the 10th of March are:

Black Widow and Centipede Recharged are reimaginings of the classic arcade games of the same name. Taking the older titles as a base, these recharged editions include “smooth control, and visuals for modern PCs and consoles” as well as challenges, leaderboards and even local co-op.

The Dauntless Epic Slayer Kit is rather self-explanatory, being an Epic Games Store exclusive bundle for the free-to-play Monster Hunter-like ‘Dauntless’. This specific bundle comes with “3 days of VIP club and a dash of currencies to accelerate your progress.”

Perhaps the most exciting aspect to this week’s free games is that we now know what game will be made available for free next week. From the 10th of March, Epic Games Store account holders will be able to get their hands on the critically praised city simulation title Cities: Skylines.

With positive reviews across the board from both critics and fans alike, Cities: Skylines serves as not only a love letter to the city simulation genre, but also helped to revitalise the genre in the wake of the release of 2013’s critically panned SimCity.

Black Widow: Recharged; Centipede: Recharged and the Dauntless: Epic Slayer Kit are available to purchase for free from now until the 10th of March, at which point you can then get your hands on Cities: Skylines.
