343i shows off a brand new Craig who looks generations better

Halo’s E3 2020 campaign demo will likely go down as one of the franchise’s worst moments, with the response being so visceral as to cause the game to be delayed by an entire year. One of the most hilariously bad aspects to the demo was of a derpy looking brute dubbed  ‘Craig’ by the fans. Over a year later, Craig is back, and looking so much better.

343 Industries recently revealed the campaign for Halo: Infinite, showcasing a vastly improved game graphically. Alongside this, the team directly addressed the issue of Craig, showing off a new and improved model, and discussing the controversy.

During the latest Inside Infinite blog post, 343 Industries' Bryan Repka discussed Craig, saying “Craig is in good hands, trust me! He has gone through some changes, but I am here to say that he has glammed up. He is feeling very good about himself and has fit back in well with the rest of his Brute friends. He has also picked up a new hobby and has done well for himself. Long live Craig!”

Of course, while this tongue-in-cheek response falls neatly inline with all the memes and discourse surrounding Craig, it is actually indicative of a massive set of improvements made to the game. The new Craig is looking great, and if the rest of the game has seen this level of improvement, then the year delay would have totally been worth it.
