8Pack Releases Ultra High End Systems Range with OverclockersUK: Exclusive Look

8Pack Supernova

Starting with the flagship model, 8Pack's Supernova system is a Goliath designed to be “the best of the best“.

The Supernova uses a cherry-picked mixture of the fastest components currently available and a hefty watercooling setup chosen by 8Pack.

Supernova-1 Supernova-2

Housed inside a modified Case Labs Magnum STH10 case, just looking at the system's size (as scaled by the Nexus 4 smartphone leaning against it) gives an indication that this is no ordinary machine. Staying true to his words and offering only “the best”, a blu-ray re-writer is sat above a custom-tuned fan and watercooling controller.

Pump and fan speeds can be edited by the fan controller because, as 8Pack told us, having a low noise output is also a crucial parameter to even the highest performance systems.

Supernova-3 Supernova-4

Designed to eat through any task put in front of it, 8Pack's Supernova truly is a “no compromise” system. For £9,499.99 you get:

  • Hand-picked Intel Core i7 3930K clocked to at least 4.9GHz.
  • Asus Rampage IV Extreme X79 motherboard.
  • 16GB Team Xtreme DDR3 2400MHz with tight timings.
  • 3x Overclocked Nvidia GTX Titans in Tri-SLI.
  • 2x 512GB Plextor M5 Pro SSDs in RAID 0.
  • 4TB of mechanical storage.
  • Modified Case Labs Magnum STH10 with 8Pack customisations.
  • 1200W Corsair power supply.
  • Custom Dual loop watercooling (8 radiator space for the CPU & motherboard, as well as 6 spaces for the graphics cards).
  • Aqua Computer USB fan controller with system monitoring.

In addition to the core components, 8Pack uses colour-coordinated braided cables to enhance the system's appearance. High-quality fans are used throughout the system, and typically sit behind 8Pack's own custom fan grill.

8Pack told us that he opted for tri-SLI over 4-way, as his experience tells him that many programs can provide problems, or worse performance, with four GTX Titans being used. The watercooled cards are overclocked to around 1200MHz on the core and 1700MHz for the memory.

If the best of the best is exactly what you're after, do not hesitate to follow this link and check-out more details regarding 8Pack's flagship system – the Supernova.

8Pack Polaris

Built around the venerable Core i7 3770K, 8Pack's second-in-command system is designed for the user who demands the highest possible multi-monitor resolution for gaming and dips their hand in tasking processes, such as video rendering.

Polaris-5 Polaris-1

A modified and 8Pack-styled Case Labs Magnum SMH10 case houses the enthusiast-grade watercooling system and SLI graphics cards. While the chassis on show at the launch event was white, in his presentation, 8Pack hinted at different colours being available.

Polaris-6 Polaris-7

Scythe's Gentle Typhoon fans find themselves on the Polaris system's watercooling radiators as 8Pack (and many other enthusiasts) regards them as the best all-round fan there is. Every fan slot is covered by the unique and exclusive fan grill with 8Pack's styling cut into it.

Polaris-3

With ultra high resolution gamers and enthusiasts looking for all-round performance in mind, 8Pack's Polaris system features:

  • Hand-picked Intel Core i7 3770K clocked to at least 5.0GHz.
  • Asus Maximus V Extreme Z77 motherboard.
  • 16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum at 2400MHz and a tight CL9.
  • 2x Overclocked Nvidia GTX Titans in SLI.
  • 2x 512GB Plextor M5 Pro SSDs in RAID 0.
  • 3TB of mechanical storage.
  • Modified Case Labs Magnum SMH10 with 8Pack customisations.
  • Custom Dual loop watercooling (triple & dual radiators for the CPU & motherboard, as well as a quad radiator for the graphics cards).
  • Aqua Computer USB fan controller with system monitoring.

Just like its bigger brother, the Polaris features braided cables and expert colour-coordination. The GTX Titans are watercooled and overclocked to around 1200MHz on the core and 1700MHz for the memory.

For £7,699.99, 8Pack's Polaris system offers pixel-pushing performance for high-resolution gamers and time-critical video rendering users. Head over to the OverclockersUK page for more information and up-close images of 8Pack's Polaris system.

8Pack HyperCube

The final system being released by 8Pack is called HyperCube. The HyperCube is designed for enthusiast gamers who want high frame rates to enhance their gaming experience.

hypercube-1

Housed inside the cube-shaped Case Labs Magnum M8 case, HyperCube features tri-SLI graphics cards and the current gaming CPU of choice – Intel's Core i7 4770K. 8Pack's exclusive customisations are present on the Magnum M8 case and each fan mount.

hypercube-2 hypercube-3

Cooled by a total of twelve radiator spaces, the HyperCube is designed to stay cool and quiet in the heat of a gaming battle. Due to the immense number of radiator spaces used, 8Pack told us that the fans rarely have to go above 50% speed, unless benchmark-calibre cooling performance is required.

With pixel-processing power in mind, 8Pack's HyperCube system uses:

  • Hand-picked Intel Core i7 4770K clocked to at least 4.9GHz.
  • Gigabyte Z87X-OC Force motherboard (with PLX PEX8747).
  • 8GB Avexir Core Extreme at 2933MHz and tightened timings.
  • 3x Overclocked Nvidia GTX 780s in SLI.
  • 512GB Plextor M5 Pro SSD.
  • 2TB of mechanical storage.
  • Modified Case Labs Magnum M8 with 8Pack customisations.
  • 1200W Corsair PSU.
  • Custom Dual loop watercooling (2x triple radiators for the CPU & motherboard, as well as 2x triple radiators for the graphics cards).
  • Aqua Computer USB fan controller with system monitoring.

Braided cables and colour-coordination are again used to enhance the system's appearance. Gentle Typhoon fans have been used on the radiators for their excellent balance between noise and airflow. The GTX 780s are overclocked to 1100MHz on the core and 1700MHz for the memory.

Targeting ultra high end gamers, 8Pack's HyperCube system is available for £6,599.99 directly from OverclockersUK. Follow this link to view additional close-up images and detailed specifications.

Aftercare

Aftercare comes in the form of a 2-year warranty carried by each system, as well as 8Pack's business card so that you can phone him directly to resolve usage issues. An 8Pack welcome pack is provided with each system and includes stability certificates as well as benchmark results achieved by the specific system that has been purchased. A limited edition plaque is also supplied with every machine to prove that it is a genuine 8Pack system.

Another interesting aftercare feature that 8Pack highlighted is the ‘new hardware' scenario. When new hardware, such as a graphics card or processor, is released, you have the option to pay for the component(s) and then get your system upgraded by the professionals at OverclockersUK for FREE. That means you can purchase three new graphics cards and not have to worry about tearing the watercooling loop apart – 8Pack and his colleagues will do it for you without charging a penny.

systems-shipping

Just like you, we had our concerns with shipping of the systems. Pictured above are the flight cargo cases (yes, you read correctly) that the systems are transported in. Each system is delivered by a 2-man courier team which then unpacks and sets up your system before taking the huge flight case back to OverclockersUK. Taking the flight case back allows OcUK to keep it for shipping your system back to them in case of any issues or requested upgrades.

When speaking to 8Pack, he told us that his systems will be available to purchase in the UK, across Europe, and to our American friends across the pond.

For more information regarding 8Pack's range of ultra high end systems, or to purchase one yourself, head over to the OverclockersUK product page.

KitGuru Says: It's refreshing to see a breath of fresh air in the UK, and European, systems market. Built by the UK's #1 professional overclocker with cherry-picked components and extreme watercooling configurations, 8Pack's range of systems have begun their quest to global dominance on the ultra high end enthusiast scene.

  1. Those are extremely nice, and extremely expensive . love it though.

  2. Wouldn’t fancy dealing with him on the RMA phase, he is huge. might beat the crap out of me :p

  3. Dont think they have any competition, they will clean up. depending on how many people can spare between 6 and 10 grand that is

  4. They are all quite beautiful. completely out of my price range, but my friend lacks the skills and has plenty of cash. he will probably already be on the phone ordering as we speak.

  5. Why put the res at the top? what happens if it leaks? all over the mobo and GPU under it? I would have it at the bottom.

Nice looking builds, but I dont understand the res at the top like that….

  6. three titans in SLI? holy bejesus I just wet myself

  7. Not the biggest fan of OCUK, however this has raised my opinion of them. I am getting sick seeing systems using Corsair H100i coolers and the same old crap in every build.

Sure these are expensive, but when you get to this grade people will be willing to pay for it, because they can’t do it for themselves (very few can build to the 8Pack standard even if they say they can).

  8. How many of these are they building a month? I actually think the demand will be higher than people imagine, 8PACK building them all himself? surely not!

  9. impressive, well better looking than my rig. great idea. works of art.

  10. Very nice machines! Congrats overclockers.co.uk, It’s my fav PC components shop!

One thing that I think it’s a bit useless and maybe misleading(if I play stupid):
“Hand-picked Intel Core i7 3770K” – What about the other components? They are not hand picked? Are they robot picked? What are you trying to do here with that phrase? It is already a very good machine, powerful, fancy, whatever you want … but don’t call the CPU Handpicked please … I feel insulted …

Keep up the good work Overclockers.co.uk!

  11. DeVe, The ‘hand-picked’ phrase is used to highlight the fact that 8Pack cherry-picks the CPUs that go into his systems after painstakingly (my words, not 8Pack’s) binning many processors.

They get into his systems after meeting strict overclocking parameters (including, but not limited to, certain frequencies with a certain voltage).

  12. DeVe – I think they mean the processor is hand picked for its overclocking headroom. Some 3770k’s overclock better than others and will require a little less voltage for the same clocks.
