PCSpecialist Ignite X1 Gaming PC Review – w/ Ryzen 9 3900

Performance: 3DMark & Cinebench

3DMark

A 3Dmark benchmark is always a good indication of a system’s performance and is a handy tool for comparing your system against others in the database to see if it’s performing as it should. We will run a series of 3DMark benchmarks to test the system’s performance and show the scores achieved for CPU (Physics), GPU and an overall score in our charts below.

Since the PCSpecialist Ignite X1 is very similar in terms of specification to the Cyberpower Hydro-X Ultra Gaming system I reviewed back in September last year, we will use this system as a reference point to compare gaming performance.

To check the full specifications of the Cyberpower Hydo-X Ultra Gaming system, see the review here. The main difference in specification between the two systems is the motherboard platform, a reference AMD RX 5700 XT GPU in the Cyberpower system and AMD Ryzen 3900 vs 3900X processor.

During the three 3DMark tests, the PCSpecialist Ignite X1 performed as expected, scores were up there in the range of high-end gaming PCs. The Time Spy test produced a result better than 85% of other systems in the database, the Fire Strike result was in the top 5% of systems and even in the demanding Fire Strike Ultra benchmark, the Ignite X1 recorded a result better than 67% of all other systems in the database.

Cinebench

Since the PCSpecialist Ignite X1 is equipped with the latest AMD Ryzen 3900 processor, an ideal CPU for productivity tasks, we will run a series of tests on both Cinebench R15 and R20 and compile a chart below to compare the results.

CineBench R15 Multi-thread Performance:

Cinebench R20 Multi-thread & Single-thread Performance:

Again, during all our Cinebench tests the PCSpecialist Ignite X1 performed to a very high level thanks to the Ryzen 9 3900. With scores almost topping our charts, showing that this system would be great for multi-threaded productivity workloads in addition to being a very capable gaming rig.
