ARIA Gladiator Warbird 660 i5-3570K GTX660 SLI OC Review

As we mentioned earlier in the review, the ARIA Gladiator Warbird 660 doesn't ship with an operating system, however the company include all the driver discs and excess cables left over from the build.

I found that the bios was configured to boot first from the mechanical 1TB hard drive, so you need to pay attention to this and choose the optical drive first, and then the Solid State Drive.

You don't want to be installing the operating system on the mechanical drive, so do pay attention with the prompts.

An overview of the system in CPUz and GPUz. Even though ARIA advertise the ARIA Gladiator Warbird 660 as being clocked to 4.4ghz, our sample was running at 4.6ghz, with a core voltage just shy of 1.3. The differences in the real world will be very minor, so either way, the system will be a good performer. Memory is configured to run at 1,600mhz with timings of 9-9-9-24 @ 1T.

EDIT: ARIA changed the final clock speed to 4.6ghz for public systems.

The MSI GTX660 is clocked at 980mhz core and 1,502mhz (6Gbps effective). There is 2GB of GDDR5 memory onboard which is connected via a 192bit memory interface.

A validation online of the ARIA Gladiator Warbird 660.

We are using the 30 inch Dell U3011 for this review today.

  1. very nicely priced. Do they sell them with the OS and drivers all installed? would be ideal for my dad.

Interesting to see power consumption tests too. I would have thought that system would be closer to 500w under load. Amazing how wrong I was.

  2. DIdnt even know they made systems. thats very good. I actually like the idea of not paying for another OS as ive 10 licenses of Windows 7 !

    great review

  3. The only thing id change would be the case? do they offer even a white case? Those piano black designs drive me nuts too. My last case was like that and it was a mess everytime I looked at it.

  4. @DAVIS – Yes we do. Just call the sales team who can make a note of this during test stage.

@JOE – We can swap out the case no problems. Just give our sales team a call who will be happy to help you.

Aria have increased the price by £200 to £1200 so this is no longer a bargain, in fact it is way overpriced and Aria are basically conning peeps by linking to kitguru – kitguru should remove their recommendation as the system has increased in price.
