Crystalmark is a useful benchmark to measure theoretical performance levels of hard drives and SSD’s. We are using V3.0 x64. We use this program to test the onboard Samsung Solid State Drive.
As we know from past experience, the 120GB Samsung 840 Series can handle compressible and incompressible data equally well.
The ATTO Disk Benchmark performance measurement tool is compatible with Microsoft Windows. Measure your storage systems performance with various transfer sizes and test lengths for reads and writes. Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. Use ATTO Disk Benchmark to test any manufacturers RAID controllers, storage controllers, host adapters, hard drives and SSD drives and notice that ATTO products will consistently provide the highest level of performance to your storage.
The ATTO Benchmark highlights similar results. A maximum performance speed of around 545MB when reading and around 135MB/s when writing. In real world terms, the Solid State Drive is snappy and the Warbird boots quickly in a manner of seconds and the operating system is responsive and quick to open programs.
very nicely priced. Do they sell them with the OS and drivers all installed? would be ideal for my dad.
Interesting to see power consumption tests too. I would have thought that system would be closer to 500w under load. Amazing how wrong I was.
DIdnt even know they made systems. thats very good. I actually like the idea of not paying for another OS as ive 10 licenses of Windows 7 !
great review
The only thing id change would be the case? do they offer even a white case? Those piano black designs drive me nuts too. My last case was like that and it was a mess everytime I looked at it.
@DAVIS – Yes we do. Just call the sales team who can make a note of this during test stage.
@JOE – We can swap out the case no problems. Just give our sales team a call who will be happy to help you.
Aria have increased the price by £200 to £1200 so this is no longer a bargain, in fact it is way overpriced and Aria are basically conning peeps by linking to kitguru – kitguru should remove their recommendation as the system has increased in price.
