Cyberpower Hydro-X Ultra Gaming System Review

Using CrystalDiskMark, we will measure the performance of all storage devices installed in the system. AIDA64's memory benchmark will be run to determine system memory performance and detailed below.

CrystalDiskMark

Both SSD and HDD performance in the Hydro-X Ultra Gaming system are as we would expect. The Corsair PCIe Gen4 M.2 SSD records a blistering sequential read speeds of almost 5GB/s, while sequential writes are not far behind. With this kind of speed you will notice the system is very responsive during tasks in Windows and load times in gaming are fast.

AIDA64 Memory Benchmark

In the memory benchmark test we see speeds typical of DDR4 3200MHz memory.  So no surprises and nothing to be concerned about here, all is well.

We mentioned earlier in the review that 3600MHz memory may have provided better overall performance. We ran another series of gaming and productivity tests, with some Patriot Viper 3600MHz RAM installed in the system, only to find there was little or no improvement in gaming FPS, and Cinebench results were identical to our results 3200MHz RAM installed.
