Dragon Flair Inferno GR4 (i7 7700K/ GTX1080) System Review

VRMark is a benchmark designed specifically with virtual reality gaming in mind. Futuremark say: ‘the performance requirements for VR games are much higher than for typical PC games. So if you’re thinking about buying an HTC Vive or an Oculus Rift, wouldn’t it be good to know that your PC is ready for VR? VRMark includes two VR benchmark tests that run on your monitor, no headset required, or on a connected HMD. At the end of each test, you’ll see whether your PC is VR ready, and if not, how far it falls short.’

A new addition to our benchmarking suite, VRMark looks like one of the few valid ways of testing the VR capabilities of a PC. Consisting of two ‘rooms’, or benchmark tests, the Orange Room is the standard test, while the Blue Room is much more demanding.

In both tests, the combination of a fast GTX 1080 and overclocked i7-7700K takes the Inferno right to the top of the charts.

Tryx Luca L70 Case Review – needs a lot more work

The Tryx Luca L70 had some negative press at launch but is it really that bad?

  1. Sees the S340 flicks to thermals and acoustics sighs and walks away. It’s a £99 budget case in high end build, arghhhhhhh!!!!!!

  2. I actually really like this case – use it for my personal rig with GTX 1080 SLI! what don’t you like about it? In my experience, it’s well-built, the glass looks great, great cable management, compact size

  3. I had a white S340 when it first launched and paid about £50 for it as it was the cheaper brother to the better H440. I found the actual chassis itself to be paper thin and it carried fan vibration terribly. But the worst thing was with a radiator in the front and a 290X it just couldn’t get rid of heat. There’s no reason at all they couldn’t open up the top for a double radiator.
What annoys me more than anything is they have started with a bargain basement case and dressed it up with silly little extras like stickers and tempered glass and bumped the price up and all of a sudden it’s appearing in £1500 builds. I think it’s used because it’s a lazy way to build a pc with regards to cabling, stop cheapie out and use a corsair crystal or a phanteks system builders!!!!
