Starting with our CPU tests I decided to compare our Intel i5-12600KF results with a couple of test results from Leo’s tests of the Intel Core i5-12600K. Let’s start with those. Bear in mind the test systems are not the same so this isn’t a direct apples-to-apples comparison, but it will tell us whether the CPU results are in the right ballpark.
Our Cinebench R23 results saw our Intel i5-12600KF score right in between Leo’s overclocked and stock Intel i5-12600K results in both the multicore and single-core tests, it’s pretty much exactly the same results as the stock version but that’s good that the Cyberpower is performing the same.
Looking at 3DMark Time Spy CPU scores, our Intel i5-12600KF placed last but only just barely and it's clearly within the margin of error, there’s not a lot to it here and of course we expect the overclocked version to outperform it. Another good result. This shows the Intel i5-12600KF is performing as it should.
Moving on now to Cinebench R20, comparing it to other prebuilts I’ve reviewed in the past, and Cyberpower takes second place, out performing a Ryzen 7 3700X and only just losing out on 1st place to a Ryzen 9 5900X.
Time taken to render our BMW CPU test with Blender 3.0 was fast at just 140 seconds. This is a new test so we don't have any comparison data yet, but we will build it up over time.
PC Mark 10 shows how well the system performs at a variety of tasks and where it excels, scoring very well across the board but really excelling in the Digital Content Creation tests.
To test our 16GB 3600MHz RAM we put it to the test within AIDA64 where it scored very well and consistently within all three benchmarks here.
Moving over to CrystalDiskMark to test our Corsair MP600 Core, we see solid read speeds but you can see this drive does slow right down with write speeds, it’s claimed to offer 1950MB/s writes and we just fall short of that. This is the MP600 Core version, which is an entry level PCIe 4.0 drive and clearly has been chosen to keep cost down, though the read speed is still quick and this is what matters for gaming. Just be aware, if you were planning to run some write-intensive tasks, this drive won’t be the best choice for you.
