Gladiator Behemoth Prebuilt System Review (3600/2060 Super)

Let’s take a look at how much of a premium you’ll be paying to have this system build for you in comparison to you building it yourself. To buy this system as it is in the exact configuration of our review model, costs £1249.99 including VAT… but bear in mind this comes with the standard build charge and also, you’re getting 4 years warranty along with free shipping too.

Using PCPartPicker, I managed to find every component other than the case, which also comes with the fan hub, so I left that out, but a quick Google tells us this case goes for around £60 so we’ll add that to the total at the end. Our DIY total comes to £1129.24, plus the case cost of £60, giving us a total of £1189.24, compared to the £1249.99 charged by Gladiator. This means that they’re charging an absolutely insane premium of… £60.75… I have absolutely no idea how they can charge so little, personally I’d say between £100-150 for a system to be built for you is acceptable but under £61 including shipping and warranty is very impressive.

Overall, the system is a good bit of kit – it’ll play games very well at 1440p and excellently at 1080p. It’s well put-together with matching components, and considering it’s aimed at gamers it is worth saying it'll also be able to handle the occasional bit of productivity work too. I think you’re getting a quality system here for the price, especially when you’re almost paying nothing at all for Gladiator to build it for you. It is a shame that the SSD is slower than expected though so that might be something you’d want to consider swapping out via Gladiator’s configurator.

The only other point to mention is that new GPUs are effectively upon us now, though we're not sure when a direct replacement to the 2060 Super will hit the market. If you need a PC now, this is still going to do a great job for 1080p or 1440p gaming, but we know many gamers will want to wait and see how RTX 3000 affects the market.

You can purchase a Gladiator Behemoth system with the same specs as our review sample and/or make additional changes via the Gladiator configurator, HERE!

Pros:

  • Extremely well priced (£60 premium).
  • Good pairing of components.
  • Excellent 1080p and 1440p results.
  • All components hold the all black theme together.
  • Great cable management.
  • Case fits the components well – no excess space.

Cons:

  • Adata XPG NVMe SSD has very poor write speeds.
  • Main drive NVMe SSD is too small for Call of Duty MW.
  • 5” Drive bay is hard to get to, behind the excess cables from the PSU.

KitGuru says: If you’re planning on getting a prebuilt gaming system then it is well worth checking out the Behemoth from Gladiator. For less than a £61 premium, including free shipping and 4 years warranty, it’s a very strong value proposition.
