CrystalDiskMark is a useful benchmark to measure theoretical performance levels of hard drives and SSD’s. We are using V3.0.3.
For an entry level drive, the 960GB TR200 deals with writing small files at deepish queue depths very well, as it does at a queue depth of one. From looking at the two benchmark result screens, it seems that the controller has a preference for handling compressible data. Using this type of data sees the read performance of handling small files take over from the writes.
This is a very nice 850 Evo/Pro competitor, but it’ll come down to price and benchmarks.
